Oh Sh*t!

Sorry for the delay, buddies. It's such a busy time at the moment - taking sun baths, relaxing at the pool, going swimming (not in the pool but in some smelly puddles), meetinging friends, pinching sausages from the grill...

But now it's time for some intellectual things in life.
I found a really interesting gift while surfing the web: A pendant made by the Dutch designer Marloes Duyker of »Naked Design«.
It comes with a silver plated chain and is produced by lasercut. Available in many different colours - ask for your favourite one!

Black with Gold- my favourite combination!

Red alert!

Pretty in pink.

Golden nugget...

I think I'll recommend one of them to my master as the perfect gift for my mistress. They celebrate their 10th wedding day next tuesday...

Pugs go fashion

If you're dotty about everything that's OOAK, these couture-dressed pugs will hit you on:
20 of the world-famous designers - from Versace to Balmain - clothe a cuddly pug, made by the german established company »Steiff«.

This special edition can currently be astonished in Florence | Italy at »Luisa Via Roma» until it will be sold in March by ebay-auctions in aid of Unicef to support disadvantaged children:

My true followers know that I'm an advocate of being undressed, but because it's for a good cause, I'm going to turn a blind eye...

Last-minute-valentine's-diy

For everybody who's still uninspired of a valentine's gift, I found something really special and self-made at the blog of Allison Cooling, member of »Quiet Lion Creation«.

Here she shows a pic-by-pic tutorial for making a cute dog-necklace that really looks similar to the high-priced-equivalent of Scottish designer »And Mary«.
Furthermore the original pendant only exists with a pug - and not everybody loves pugs, eh?

So let's get started to do some handicrafts!

The Original:

The "Fake":

Time to celebrate a happy Valentine's Day!

Knit good

Today we had some snow here in the north of Germany. It's not unusual, but it was the first snow since november.
I don't know what to think of wearing stuff (as you already know), but my mistress always put on a bobble cap (in Germany you say "Pudelmütze" = "poodle cap" - what a degradation...) and some gloves these days.
To show your individual side while taking your dog for a walk, I would like to present some really unique DIY-gloves by »Studio Morran«.
I'm sure you've heard this name before - a few weeks ago I posted their stunning bookproject with lovely illustrations of artists all around the world.
But now, back to frostiness: If you have some spare time and you're up to knitting, these gloves are perfect for you.
And: Look closely - the dog on the pattern looks like me, yeah!

You can find the detailed knitting-instructions here.

Shoehuahua

It's no secret that women love shoes as well as cute little dogs. I found something at the web that kills two birds with one stone - look:

These lovely Chihuahua Mary-Janes-Shoes are made by Lindsay of »Em and Sprout« and are available in many different sizes. Her shop is BTW named by her two cats, that she really loves a lot.

Hope, that Lindsay someday will decide to sew a Terrier like me so that I'm getting the "shoeting-star" of my mistress....

key couture

It seems to be a prejudice that the fashion world is an impersonal and frosty place...
Look below what I found in the shops of the most famous designers: A hommage to us dogs (what else...)!

Jack and Lazaro of »Proenza Schouler« created two limited-edition keychains in honor to their best friends Jojo (a Prague Rattler) and Buster (a Newfoundland). You can see both live at pic No.3 and their high-class copy - that's BTW only available at the online-store - at No.2 & 4.

Frida Giannini, chief designer of »Gucci« created Sam (picture No.1), made out of the typical Gucci-canvas, with ears of black suede and dark gold leather trim. He wears a gold tone plaque with the Gucci-Logo around his neck. Available at »pret-a-beaute«.

The keys I found at ebay.

I think it's only a matter of time until we dogs will be personally invited to the fashion-weeks around the world.
After all our taste is amazing! (We like to eat and wallow in lovely smelling dead things, for example...)

How to get in girls good books

After talking about x-mas gifts for the landlords yesterday, it's time to show some dog-inspired presents for mistresses. Unfortunately most men doesn't have the foggiest notion what girls really want for christmas....It's NOT a set of cooking-pots, NOT a food processor and NOT the »sexy underwear« that only fits a size zero and looks like working at the urban red-light district.

Buddies, it's hard for me to say, but it's only the bling-bling-stuff that makes a girl happy.
Never fear! You don't have to spoil your bank-account. I found some stuff that snuggle the content of your wallet as well as your wifes neck, wrist and fingers:

All items made by the famous designer Betsey Johnson, available at »Macy's«

Amigos, I'm really glad that we dogs don't have any debts like this....

cufflink link

I noticed that we have a lot of girls stuff the past weeks. The boys are missed out, so it's time to show some preppy things for the lordlings of my readers.
In addition x-mas is coming much faster than it seems and maybe you (and now I mean the mistresses of my readers) need a gift for your second beloved...

I'm talking about a typical human present, but in this case it's much more stylish than everything you normally endow: The cufflink.
»Link your shirt« has a huge selection of doggish cufflinks, but the following ones are my absolute favourites:

All images are under rounded glass, with a silver plated backing.
If I would ever wear shirts (what will never occur, you all know my animosity of dog-clothing - please see below), I would pimp it with a Beagle cufflink.
A big »Wooof« to Emma, my eldest friend & a Beagle, what else?!

pooch pouch

Women love bags - so does my mistress...She got millions of billions that fill a huge closet in my house. Without a doubt you can easily imagine that she instantly fell in love with the following range of eco-friendly tote bags made by »Blueblood®«, two women (no surprise, ey?) that live and meet each other at their dog park (no surprise, too) in Pacific Heights, San Francisco.
The illustrations are made by the co-owner of Blueblood®, Alexis Moran, and show the life of her Labrador Tubby in New York.

Model| Madison Ave.

The back side of all totes look the same.

And the best thing is: They are big enough to carry dozens of dog-treats...
Enjoy your meal!

Hello Kitty? - Bye bye!

Most of the time dogs and cats are problematic together. I really like cats (for hunting) and I adore their food (for me).
So it was good news for me that the japanese inventors of the most famous cat, so-called "Hello Kitty!" adopted a cute dog, called »Rebecca Bonbon«. A stylish french bulldog, that was born in Paris but now lives, together with her owners, in a cool apartment near Central Park in New York. She loves to travel around the world, to shop all day long and to eat bonbons (what else...)

Because one of my best friends is a french bulldog too, and because Rebecca seems to be a "Hund von Welt" like me, I think it would be possible for me to chum up with her. - Even if I don't like this girlish and pinkish stuff.

As you can imagine, Rebecca is a typical girl, and so there are tons of shirts and accessories available that are covered with her face.
My mistress loves the grey sweater that you can see at the middle of the first row on the next pic:

But - just a second: Why does she want to wear a shirt with another dog like me?
I've to thrash this out with her immediately!

See ya later!

Dog rider

Usually I don't like playing games with us dogs. But this idea of a harness by »Costume Supercenter« is damned funny that I always have to laugh out loud when I see the following pics.
See for yourself!

Dog Rider Model "Postman"

Dog Rider Model "Cowboy"

I think now I know what to wear on Halloweens day this year....

Nose jewellery

There are many ways for dog owners to show the world how much they love their dogs. The following one is really unique and special: The guys from »Custom Pet Nose Print Necklaces« are producing handmade sterling silver pendants from your dogs nose. Therefor you have to make a mold of it and send it back to the artist who casts the pendant for you.
If you want you can even have the name of your cutie engraved on the back.

This procedure really reminds me of the glorious Walk of Fame in L.A.
And there's nothing wrong with being famous...

So buddies: pipe down and go!

Dogs en miniature

There are only a few things that make me speachless (e.g. when my mistress forget who of us eats first or some visitors of her ignore me in MY own house...).
Nevertheless here is an example that delighted me that much, that I could hardly recognize myself.

These cute little doggies are made of leather that is lovingly being painted afterwards. They are handmade by »DoggyBoggyShop« - featured by a guy that lives in Bangkok|Thailand.
If you are looking for your breed & cannot find it at his shop, he'll produce one especially for you by using a photo of your beloved sweetie.
I could gawp at them all along - and forget even my meal, grmbblllll!

WikiLeash

Unfortunately sometimes it's necessary for us dogs to be leashed.
I don't like it, but I know that we get into deep trouble if we don't stick to it.
Therefore it's really important to look stylish at any rate while being "roped". I found some interesting posibilities for us four-legged fashion victims - have a look!

This »Sausage Link Dog Leash« is for real gluttons, because you always have your provisions by your side. So it doesn't matter if you get lost - you'll never starve...(and that's the only thing that counts, doesn't it?)

My opinion of the following leash by »Povodokus« is a two-edged sword: On the one hand I really like the style and the idea, but on the other hand it looks a bit macabre to me. What do you think ? - Write me your opinion! I'm really not sure if it's superhip or supershit...

The third leash made by »Alice Wang« is for "all the single ladies" (thanx Beyonce). Your mistress will always have a helping hand at your collective walks.

An efficient partnership can be so simple...

dogs for cell

Nearly every human being owns one of these curious machines called mobiles. I really don't understand wherefor they use them, but it must be very important:
They hug it several times during the day by nuzzeling it to their ears and the "peculiar thing" answers with a cosily sound of pleasure....
In order that it doesn't get ill or feel cold they bed it into pockets or sleeping bags...
Humans, ts ts ts ts...

The mistress of Lasse - one of my Parson Russell friends - is producing cell-phone-bags of wool felt, that helps protecting all those little ringelingding-things of getting in danger.
Her brand is called »Vom Heimathafen« and it's quite easy to get one of her handmade bags in your own style: Just send her a pic of your dog (or of anything else you like) and she designs a perfect-shaped bag for your mobile.

The following one I really love most, because it's printed with Lasse at the beach after getting wet by a huge wave...

If you're more into Polka-Dots, this one is perfect for you:

And this is the back view of the cuddly accommodation:

Seems to be the one and only mobile home, doesn't it?

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

Before some of you will declare me insane, I would like to explain:
It's not a weird sentence that comes into my mind, it's a
DUMMY TEXT
This text shares some characteristics of a real written text and it may be used to display a sample of fonts or to generate text for testing.
Mostly the text itself is nonsense but it's a coherent, short phrase that uses every letter of the alphabet. (Description by Wikipedia)
I know these phrase for a really long time, because my mistress sometimes need some dummy text for her work as a designer. It was time to appreciate it by printing it onto T-Shirts or - like in the other case - onto a shopping bag like the two designers of »DADADA studio« did.

There's only one thing wrong in this phrase that I would really like to correct:
The quick brown dog jumps over the lazy fox.

Yes, that sounds much better to me....

Hmmm, people are weird sometimes....

Balloon Dogs

I really like the noise when somebody is tinkering a balloon dog. And I love the feeling when I bite into one. (But I hate that BANG afterwards!)
Nevertheless - here are some of my inflated brothers and sisters I found at the internet:

This couple is a pair of bookends, I saw at »ModCloth«. Even if you aren't into reading it's an adornment for every shelf.

Two really nice collars for mistresses - one in black made by »Roscata«...

...and this glossy one in gold by »The Nymph«:

But never ever forget the lordlings! For the lords of the lordlings, I found some cufflinks designed by »Ted Baker«:

Aaand never, really never ever forget your lovable pup. Here's a unique toy from »charming pet« for chewing, drooling, licking, nibbling & biting.

My suggestion would be: Balloon dog for president! - Here is an inspiring button by »Short attention span girl« for his eleccion. I will wear it at my collar while listening to his first speech.

For everyone who is into that "Do-it-yourself-stuff", try this instruction for knoting your own balloon dog. But be careful, don't mutate into an animal hoarder...
