Happy End

(English version:) Each dog fan accumulated during his life, certainly the one or the other four-legged accessory.
Perfect, if it doesn't only act as a dust catcher then, but also fulfills a real task.
This time I was able to recruit a few good looking dog buddies that help you humans to tidy up.
Even though I hate tidiness - to the regret of my mistress....
When sorting magazines and books they do their best, but see for yourself.

These two French Bulldogs are relaxing on a pillow after doing their work. Available in either white or black - found on ebay:

Diese zwei kubistisch anmutenden Terrier stehen auf schwarzen Resinsockeln im Marmorlook. Sind am Besten in einem von Klassikern belegten Regal aufgehoben... - gefunden bei Houzz.

These two cubist looking Terrier are standing on a black base in marble look - found at Houzz.

This dachshund is almost legendary - because he comes from the icon of design "Jonathan Adler"
Available with pink or blue base.

These greyhounds don't even lose their elegance with this loud colours - found at KARE design.

This ironic couple need some funny literature. Made of metal - found at Knob Creek Metal Arts.

Look at this color! I adore it! And my mum also. Thus we are de facto in complete agreement (really a rare event ...) - found at Pottery Barn.

The Italians are perfect in everything that has to do with design. They even put in such simple things as bookends to the test. Found at Spisani.

Friends of elegant restraint will love this: Pale Purple Ceramics - found at Overstock.

For the craftsmen I found a special treat. An instructions on how to do this (or similar) Bookends by yourself. Any color and breed is possible. Instructions found in Irresistible Pets.

For what it's worth, I'd build a terrier (me) on one side, and on the other a cat. - But no one asks me, as usual....

Scratching post

Today the word "post" got a complete new meaning for me: This cattree made by the Dutch designer »Erik Stehmann« shows that there possibly exsists a kind of friendship - or let's say helpfulness between dogs and cats.
Okay, this tree really looks fantastic compared to the traditional furniture for cats, but it turns everything topsy-turvy in my view of the world. I think I've to make an appointment with my trusted psychologist....

Finally a short warning that hits the mark: Mind your head....!.

spring fever

It's becoming spring! The tulips and hyacinths are growing in my garden and I'm feeling totally excited about that.
Some of my collegues feel much more excited about other things - called reproduction.
Luckily that's not one of my problems, but I sympathise with their typical symptoms named absence of appetite, insomnia and heartache.
I found a really interesting solution for their pain in terms of a »Hot Doll« - a sexdoll and companion for dogs. Available in vicious black or virginial white:

I, personally, think that it doesn't look like a typical "playmate". For me it's a design object for a stylish home.
But it is purportedly: Love is blind.

Ouch!

My dearest friends.
Most of you certainly know how it feels when you have to go to the vet:
It's a terrible nightmare!
The most degrading thing is when he prescribes a cone of shame. (B.t.w. it's the perfect definition of this awful object...)
Julia Duncan-Roitman, the founder of »Pink Baby Mouse Shop« doesn't only breed mice (yeah, it's true, buddies!) - she also designed these incredible "Cone Pillows" that show different dog breeds on colourful fabrics.

P.S.
Dear talented inventors & designers.
It would be really kind, if you would give some attention to the look of these horrible cones of shame. I'm sure it would be a profitable job for you...And I swear that all dogs in the world - including me - would be deeply grateful.
Kind regards and a big woofeee!

Sweden ≠ IKEA

The scandinavian design is one of my favourites. I like the uncomplicated forms and the use of high-class natural materials.
The swedish designer »Lisa Bengtsson« created some really classy interior designs to pimp your home with your beloved friend. The collection includes different wallpapers, posters, pillows and tablewear.
Not everything that comes from Sweden must be IKEA....

Products are online available at:
Huset-Shop (for the US)
Scandinavian Design Center (Europe)

Hejdå! Hej så länge!*
* Cheers! See you soon!

You spin me round

There are nights where I cannot sleep (because it's so important to guard my house) that I wished I had one of these lovely mobiles of »KLT:works«. KLT are the initials of Kristin Loffer Theiss, who's the designer and owner of this brand that started in 2005 with the creation of handmade designs for the modern home.
Take a look at them and be sure your eyes are getting tired and more tired....Your head is getting heavy...you close your eyes and fall into a deep deep sleep....

RRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!
This is your wake-up call, because Kristin Loffer Theiss has so much more interesting things in her shop:

You see - sometimes it's better to stay awake.

P.S. There are only 3 months left until x-mas!

Dogs (and more) in 3D

Today I would like to introduce some more pillows I found at the internet. I just can't get enough of these fluffy, cuddly & mellow stuff - exceptionally when they look that real like these from »Areaware«. The designer is the New Yorker Ross Menuez who was enspired by images of the 19th century illustrations and the shape of pillows from the victorian age.

Fans of the pug will lose their hearts to this most charming face:

Look at this curly-dinky poodle. It seems that he thinks about solving the real important problems of the world...

Another hairy chum - the Bearded Collie. Thank goodness he doesn't lose his hair like the real ones do...

The best partner for animal herding (hahaha) - the Border Collie:

And some cool hot spots for your home:

A preppy-peppy-puppy that will bring thousands of enamoured screecher, wanna bet?

And - Tadah! - one of my kind. He looks amazingly intelligent & handsome, doesn't he?

But this one is my absolute favorite. A rabbit that doesn't beat loose. (But foolishly it doesn't taste at all...)

Like a dog in a china shop

The US-manufacturer »Herend« produces lovely smooth white porcelain-dogs with hand painted designs. It beautifies every home no matter if it's modern style or full of antiques. For me they look really stylish and would appear fantastic on our 60ies danish sideboard - but I think my mistress will never buy one of these precious loved ones, because we have a cleaning lady that is - let's say - a little bit clumsy. Quasi like an elephant in a china shop...
Now have a look at these wonderfully designed animals.

This is not Rudolph, the red nose reindeer - it's the red tailed Labrador:

Miss Chihuahua, pecious suited in Amber:

Gentlemen prefer Blondes - Ladies prefer blonde Spaniels:

Not the Pink Panther, but the Pink Poodle:

Go Green!

A sun-tanned Yorkie:

True (and) blue:

And one of my cousins - a Jack Russell - wants to play (must be Black Jack, he?)

myPad

During my daily business of eating, barking, digging, wallowing and rushing, I need some time to relax. I really love to sit on an elevated place, with the warm sun caressing my fur and a mellow pillow behind my back...The following ones are from »k studio« - two women from Michigan/USA who combine great design with green materials and social responsibility. I like to build families of all the different cushions. But I like most to take a nap on them....

Today at the fleemarket

It has been a sunny day today. So we went out to one of our fleemarkets in Hamburg to have a look around. The first I saw were these buddies laying under the sales booth...The caption came to my mind was »Too tired or Two tired?«

There have been a lot of people searching for kitsch, treasures and preciousities. But this pup seems to search for something else...

I always rest my case: Terrier are really brilliant...

I really empathize with this buddy - no surprise that he looks so miserable with that cable hanging around his neck...

...and this one also seems to be a little bit petrified:

A gorgeous but really cheap dachshund: a purchase of 28 Euro, eats nothing, drinks nothing, needs no place to sleep and never barks.

The poodle-frequency was enormous today...
A white and mellow exemplar:

...and a black and nodding exemplar from the 60ies.
This one has a new owner from today: My mistress. Hopefully he doesn't annoy me - but I think he agrees with everything I tell him.

For whom are these guys waiting? And why are they looking so huffish?
»Hey, the sun is shining! It's a perfect day today! Wooofff!«
