Viva Italia!

After Germanys desaster at the European Football Championship yesterday, where we played against Italy (and lost the match), I wasn't sure if this is the perfect moment to post my latest vacation experiences.
These days I stay in Italy - better say Tuscany - and enjoy the sunny weather, the sweet idleness and the perfect Italian food.
The picture shows me amidst an exhibition in the city of »Arezzo«. It seems like David against Goliath and I felt a little bit scary. (But: Mum's the word to anybody!)

Greetings from Tuscany, my dearest friends! I wish you all a terrific weekend!

But now I  have to end up for today, because there are some terrible mouth-watering "salsiccia con tartufi" waiting for me....

Amsterdam

Sometimes my mistress is starting a trip without me. Last weekend she went to Amsterdam|The Netherlands to visit some of the famous museums there.
For me a sign to stay at home, because I hate being carried in a train or leashed in front of old houses where people named Rembrandt or van Gogh or something live...Thank God that I stayed in Hamburg, because my mistress reported that it's a pitty for dogs to live in Amsterdam, because there's no greenery in sight.
But she found a lot of lovely things, that I don't want to keep back from you. (That's the reason why this post is written by her...but I swear that it won't get a steady state, okay?)

Everybody knows, the Dutch people always ride on bikes. And it's true - never seen that many bicycles... This is a really romantic one, I like the typography and the mint green colour:

While walking around the pretty town canals I saw these two colourful retriever standing in a window. Maybe that's how a "normal" retriever looks after smoking some cannabis...

Apropos smoking cannabis: This is one dependance of a famous coffe-shop chain. The only question is: Why is the dog thirsty?

There are so many galleries in this part of the town! You can find every type of art - from modern to old fashioned. The following galleries seem to have real preciosities for sale, because somebody keeps a jealous watch over it:

This amazing sculpture is made by the artist »Kim Boulukos« and is presented at the gallery »Smelik Stokking «. It's actually the best work I've seen for a long time:

This pug looks really scary. I found him at a gallery while walking back to my apartment after having dinner at the fantastic reaturant »thjis« at the Prinsengracht. It was dark outside and so it was a really spooky moment when I saw this little monster:

Another piece of magnificent art. A lordling takes a walk with his dog. Here you can perfectly see who's the top dog of the couple...

Look at this couple of caricatured greyhounds seen in the window of another gallery:

And an antique couple. The dachshund at the right is from Germany and carries a letter "An Herrchen" (Translation: To my Lorling):

The Dutch people are really taking a joke (seen in a window of a rummage-shop):

Another find in the window of a bakery. That's what I call perfect recycling of plastic-bags!

Amsterdam is a real "shopping-eldorado". But too much shopping can be sooooooo boring (but never for us girls, eh?)

A snapshot of a dogs everyday life in Amsterdam:

The dog above bears resemblance to this one I've seen in the »Rijksmuseum«. It's part of an antique picture of tiles made out of »Delft-porcelain«:

Another part of the famous porcelain from Delft - a cute dog bowl (not antique):

And a lovely Delft-souvenir for Antons Dogsitter Anna from »Dogs And The City« in Hamburg. It looks a little bit like Anton with the blue spot on his eye:

Also this one has a similarity to Anton. It's really strange: Everytime I'm without him, I miss him after a few hours...

Nevertheless - it was a fascinating and inspiring journey even without him.
Dank u Nederlander en tot ziens Amsterdam!

Mallorca - la isla bonita

Travelling is one of my favorite things to do, because sometimes you have to look beyond your own nose. To spend some days of spring at one of the most popular Mediterranean island was really an adventure for me. The weather was fantastic (not too cold and not too warm) and I got a lot of new inspiring inputs. This is me in front of the cathedral »La Seu« in Palma:

Some yummy kennel in a pastry shop - so delicious & colorful!

It seems that the architect of this house got his inspirations at the same pastry shop...And look: It's a dog-kennel too!

Maybe a new breeding of the established dalmatian dog. This seems to be the spring-version:

Some cute purses for dog-loving children:

At the entrance of the church Santa Eulàlia in Palma I found a really terrifying scene. Some dogs fighting against each other. This isn't after my fancy - I'm a peaceloving dog (most of the time by all means).

There are some beaches where dogs are allowed at the early seasons. But what the hell was the intention of my mistress while making this photo? Hey, I'm the star of this Blog - not that **** ****** ** ******!

Going back to Palma we stoped over at a Jazz Festival at one of the market places. I think this buddy looks so displaced, because for us dogs this kind of music sounds like »katzenjammer«.

And this little friend also seems to escape from the music. Or does he have a immense shopping list to finish?

Okay, I see! He wants to go to »TOUS« - a famous spanish fashion-label where you can buy jewels, bags, sunglasses and, as you can see: lovely Chihuahua-keychains.

And doggiebag-keychains:

If you are more a fan of that »Bling-Bling-stuff«, here are some keychains I found at El Corte Inglés made by Svarowski:

Another doggiebag made by Tommy Hilfiger:

And some more cheaper ones in the streets of Palma. Maybe it's due to its content...

Leaving to the airport, I found this fashion-store with the lovely logo of a spanish greyhound (these dogs are called Galgos and my mistress donates regularly some money for their needs).

Ahhhhhh, it's a pleasure to come home again....

Dog meets Beetles

As you know, I love to be co-driver. Unfortunately there are only two seats in the front row - one for the driver and the other one for my mistress (she said "it's her car and it's her privilege to sit there" - but she's wrong....). Nevertheless we had a good ride to the yearly traditional »Maikäfertreffen« in Hannover/Germany where all the lovely VW-Beetles meet.

Look at me sitting behind the steering wheel - it fits perfect, doesn't it?

As you can see, we weren't the only one who showed our gem:

This yellow-eyed wolf scared me a little bit - but I think that's the whole purpose:

The little Chihuahua keeps the track of all the vehicles - what a fantastic seat without paying anything!

A modern age oracle: You can ask him everything - but be careful with your questions: he will always nod!

R.I.P. - Rust in peace

Best weather for a picknick! And/or a nap.

Find the hidden object: The dog!

Nice insights...

Another buddy who fall asleep directly in the middle of the walk - it seems that it was a great party last night....

Mirror, mirror on the Bug: Who's the prettiest dog around?

For me this Bro' seems a little bit depressive (maybe it's because of the temperatures inside the car and he currently noticed that he got shrunk...)

Gorgeous pastels in a row. (Did I really say that? Sounds a little bit swishy....)

Bye bye, see you again next year - same time!
